We care about the client experience, which is why we also have private, separate shampoo rooms. About the Owner
My purpose and passion is you.
Melinda has been in the business for over 30 years now. She never saw herself as a hairdresser, and always thought she would have a career in social work. However, when Melinda was in high school her friends took a cosmetology course and she decided to join them. She then started as a shampoo girl in 10th grade at a local salon, and the rest is history. After that experience, she developed a deep love for hair and a passion for people. She now serves a strong clientele and that has given her the chance to make hair dreams a reality.
Today, Melinda continues to be as passionate as ever. For the last six years (and counting!), she has educated and pushed herself into the world of balayage/blondes and lived-in hair color. She's been blessed to have been educated by some of the best in the industry and she finds great joy in teaching others as well. Melinda is always seeking out new inspiration to help develop and polish her skill set.
Creating and owning a business was also not in Melinda's plan. However, she has always had a passion for encouraging and equipping people to live to their fullest potential! She believes that each one of us has something unique and valuable to offer. She also believes that our purpose is not determined by our qualifications, but by our willingness to say YES!
It is Melinda's goal for Studio Blush to help cultivate happiness while you are within our spaces, but more importantly within you and our communities.
